Equipment
Wildlife Photography
I have shot Nikon cameras since I started digital photography in 2015. Here is a breakdown of the gear I used most often for birds and wildlife.
Camera Body: Nikon Z8, Z9 and Z6ii
Lenses: Nikon 400mm f/2.8 TC S, Nikon 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 Z, and Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VRII
Teleconverter: Nikon TC 2x Z
Binoculars: Swaroski Optik 10x42 EL
Spotting Scope: Kowa TSN884
Landscape / Nightscape / Northern Lights
For widefield imagery, I use the same camera bodies as above plus an Astro-modified Nikon D850 (LifePixel). The modified camera allows me to capture additional red data that is mostly blocked by the stock filter for Hydrogen emission nebulae.
Lenses: Rokinon 24mm f/1.4, Rokinon 14mm f/2.8, Samyang 135mm f/2
Mount: iOptron Skyguider Pro
Astrophotography
For my Deep Sky Astrophotography I use two different telescopes that are mounted on homemade carts for ease of transportation and setup.
